If you are sitting too far forward, we adjust your seat so that you are further back in a safer and more comfortable position. Passengers in particular are most often positioned on their tailbone creating a very difficult ride. Most stock seats are angled incorrectly which creates this problem. We create a strategic soft spot in the rear portion of the seat to shift the passenger's weight from the tailbone to the buttocks, creating an incredibly comfortable ride. This is just one example of how your seat can be adjusted for comfort and safety. Any alterations that need to be done to your seat are free of charge with our primary gel installation or upholstery services. If rider or passenger are sitting in an uncomfortable position, the seat can be altered to fix the problem. Seat alterations are important for comfort as well as safety. We can take some material from the sides of a seat to allow more leg length or add material where needed.
Please note that our gel installation service can be considered a health care purchase and is likely eligible for reimbursement via a flexible spending account or employee health care reimbursement program. Our gel is medical grade and our business is part owned by a Registered Nurse. This gives us the ability to assist our customers with reimbursement. A simple breakdown of our gel installation pricing is as follows:
Single gel rider or passenger with alterations $125
Double quantity gel rider or single quantity rider and passenger $200
You may at anytime add $75 for an additional quantity, for example double quantity front and single rear $275, double quantity front and rear $350.
Please add $25 for riveted seats as they require additional labor.
When you consider the prices of a single gel pad installed INCORRECTLY directly under the upholstery starting at $160 and going all the way up to nearly $300 or a name brand "gel" seat with about 10% of the amount of gel needed that still does not fit the rider and passenger!, our service uses nearly twice the amount of high quality gel for a lower cost. Nowhere else can you at the same time get your seat custom altered to fit you.
Pads that sit on your seat are much less effective and can also be a safety issue. Most people are not very hip on the look. A piece of gel on top of your seat will get very hot in the summer and could slide in the event of a quick stop.
